Week of July 13th

This month we’re featuring Lucifer Lighting’s Stellaris, developed with Gensler to solve a classic specification problem: task and ambient lighting in a single 31″ fixture. Three independently controlled sources — downlight, waveguide, and uplight — let designers layer light without adding fixtures to the ceiling. We’re also spotlighting TLS Lighting’s LumiCoustica™ Collection, which pairs high-performance LED lighting with built-in acoustic absorption — tackling sound reverberation in open, hard-surfaced commercial spaces without cluttering the ceiling plane. And a big congrats to our Q2 Golf Simulator League winners — Dustin Brown & Harrison Muecke took 1st place overall!

Week of July 6th

This month, we’re spotlighting how integrated Lutron systems helped designer Grace Huh transform a historic home’s most challenging space — a dark, 40-foot kitchen — into its warm, welcoming heart. Tunable Ketra fixtures shift from crisp morning light to candlelit evening glow, while motorized shades protect artwork and reveal lake views on cue. It’s a great example of technology built to enhance a designer’s vision, not compete with it. We’re also featuring Accord Lighting’s redesigned Petra Pendant — a one-of-a-kind fixture pairing natural wood and stone, with exposed sockets reimagined as a design feature.

Plus, we recap our exciting night at the IES Phoenix Illumination Awards—where our office received a 2026 Special Citation Award—and share a helpful tip on simplifying mixed dimming protocols with Lutron Vive.

This week’s Light Connect explores lighting solutions that do more than illuminate. Intra Lighting’s Pyrymyd transforms the ceiling into a design feature by combining glare-free lighting, acoustic performance, and sustainable materials in one innovative system, while Vibia’s Offset Collection uses dynamic color and temperature control to create personalized lighting experiences. We also share practical guidance on choosing the right color temperature and why selecting the right Kelvin early in the design process can dramatically influence the look and feel of a space.

We’re also featuring Solid by B.Lux Lighting — an iF Design Award–winning architectural luminaire by Josep Lluís Xuclà that blends industrial presence with advanced optics and intuitive gesture control. And finally, a quick congratulations to our April golf simulator league winners for some impressive performances on the leaderboard.
